Abha Surgy Centre holds a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Session for the Children of Sex Workers

Abha Surgy Centre, in collaboration with ONGC and Amar Patalpukur, organized a meaningful menstrual hygiene awareness camp for the children of sex workers in Sonagachi, Kolkata on November 28, 2025. This initiative aimed to educate young girls and women on safe menstrual practices, break stigma, and ensure access to basic hygiene essentials.

Being a trusted name in women’s health and fertility care for over three decades, this initiative by Abha Surgy Centre aimed to raise awareness about menstrual health, personal cleanliness, and fundamental gynaecological information through age-appropriate, compassionate discussions.

The event was attended by Dr. Bani Kumar Mitra, Founder & Chief Consultant, Abha Surgy Centre, Dr Konkon Das Mitra, Director & Chief Embryologist, Abha Surgy Centre, and Amra Padatik members. The program finished with a heartfelt musical performance by renowned singer Lagnajita Chakraborty.
