India Post released a Special Cover with MyStamp. Celebrating 30 Years of Abha Surgy Centre

Abha Surgy Centre, one of Eastern India’s leading IVF and gynaecology centres, celebrated its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of helping couples achieve the joy of parenthood.

To commemorate this milestone, India Post released a Special Cover and MyStamp honouring the centre’s contributions to reproductive healthcare at Kolkata, on 14 November 2024.

The official stamp release ceremony was graced by Mr. Ashok Kumar, Postmaster General, Kolkata Region; Dr. Basudeb Mukherjee, senior gynaecologist associated with Ankuran IVF Clinic, Woodlands Hospital and Manipal Hospital; along with Dr. Bani Kumar Mitra, Founder & Chief Consultant, and Dr. Konkon Das Mitra, Director & Chief Embryologist of Abha Surgy Centre.

“It gives us profound happiness to realise that we have been successful for three decades in ensuring the fulfilment motherhood brings to women who may not be able to attain it naturally… The launch of this Special Cover with MyStamp by India Post will remain significant to each one of us at Abha Surgy Centre and to our patients and well-wishers,” Dr. Bani Kumar Mitra.
“The societal attitudes surrounding infertility in India and neighbouring countries remain a challenge. We at Abha Surgy Centre are committed to easing the social and emotional stress of childless couples through IVF and ARTs,” added Dr. Konkon Das Mitra.

A Talk Show on Motherhood & IVF

Following the stamp launch, Abha Surgy Centre hosted an immersive talk show titled “Journey of Motherhood and IVF: Celebrating 46 Years of Its Journey in India”. The panel featured:
